"Abundant Grace" on "Hills of Glory"

“God wants to show His power through you”, said Robin Botley, the glowing, fresh-faced, 19-year old worship leader and bible school student from Abundant Grace Church in Maine, USA.  Together with Claire Fuller, she testified about how the Lord sought her and made her whole after she had a car accident that should have ended her life, but didn’t. “I asked God, ‘Why am I still here? Why am I still alive?” Despite her feelings of unworthiness, God has affirmed to her that He has a purpose and bigger plans for her.

Robin encouraged the youth to prioritize their relationship with God, emphasizing that God is not as concerned about the ending of our spiritual journey as He is with how we live out our every day as a Christian. She said, “Christian life is about the process… how we get from here to there.” She also invited people who do not have a relationship with God yet to pray and receive Jesus Christ in their lives.

During her testimony, Robin acknowledged that she was a bit intimidated when she first heard of the large crowd that awaited her at The Hills. But she realized it was not her, it was God who will enable her to do what seems to be an impossible task.  And guess what?  God did not disappoint her. It was another glorious night at the Hills!

Encounter (Batch 29 & 30)

Last July 11-13 and 18-20, 2014, the Hills of Glory had back-to-back Men and Women Encounters. The men’s batch dubbed as, “First-Born”, had 73 delegates, while the women’s encounter, “King’s Damsel”, was attended by 48 participants.

An Encounter is a weekend specially set aside by individuals for the specific purpose of knowing and experiencing who Jesus Christ really is. It is an opportunity given to those who want to begin their journey towards a better self and a better life according to the plans and purposes of God. During the encounter, people leave behind the past that hinders them from obtaining what God has in store for them. Chains are broken; walls come down, at the encounter.

We give praises to God for the successful encounter weekends! Keep praying with us for more encounters and more changed lives!

A Net-Breaking Catch!

July 9, 2014. The Contagious Band together with the equally contagious youth worshipers of “The Hills” brought the house down with their unstoppable praise and worship before the Lord! It was truly a victorious night with more than one thousand souls who came despite the unpredictable weather. The church was packed, full to the brim!

Thank you for joining us in yet another night of celebrating Jesus and thank you to those of you who stayed and worshiped with us even if there was no more room inside the church. Join us again on the next youth gig on August!

State of the Network Address (SONA)

On July 6, 2014, a mid-year evaluation was held at the HOGICCI Training Hall. The G12 Primary Men and Women, together with Senior Pastor Mark Punzalan and Sis. Gwen Punzalan, revisited the Annual Goals that were resolved before the onset of the year. Each net leader delivered a State of the Network Address (SONA) where they presented their accomplishment reports laden with ministry challenge stories, as well as nuggets of wisdom on discipleship and soul-winning.

The day started with an inspired exhortation by Pastor Mark on the importance of abiding to the true Vine, Jesus Christ. Each one was reminded that we cannot live a victorious Christian life alone. As His "branches", we must maintain a growing connection with our discipler and cultivate teamwork in our cell groups.

Sis. Luna, together with the rest of the Guarin's, provided a sumptuous, "restaurant-worthy" lunch for the team to celebrate her sons' birthdays.

Before the meeting was dismissed, everyone found themselves with a renewed commitment and vigor to continue to love God and His people and to accomplish even greater things for His glory.
